Bio:
Lana has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 20 years. She specializes in pediatric feeding and infant feeding disorders. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and provides lactation support as well as breast and bottle feeding support to families. She has worked in a variety of home, clinical, and educational settings. Lana has extensive experience working with a wide range of ages and delays/disorders. She has specialized training and experience with infant feeding, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, TalkTools (Oral Placement Therapy & sensory-motor approach to speech and feeding), PROMPT, Tethered Oral Tissues (tongue/lip tie diagnosis and treatment), and Myofunctional Therapy. Lana is passionate about optimizing oral function as early as possible to set children and their families up for feeding success throughout the lifespan. Lana is a certified TummyTime!™ Method instructor and a Certified Instructor of Infant Massage. Lana is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Pace University (New York, NY) and her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Long Island University (Brooklyn, NY). Lana is dedicated to empowering and educating parents to maximize the child’s progress and success. In her free time, she is probably out on her next hiking adventure with her two children.
